How to Add an external link in the WordPress menu
In this tutorial I will show you step by step so that, you can easily add an external link to wordPress website Menu.
- Copy the external URL that you want to link to.
- Paste it into the URL field.
- In the Link Text field write the anchor text that you want to represent the link on the front end of your website.
- Click the Add to Menu.
- Choose its place in the menu.
- Click the Save Menu button.
Now if you go back to your website and check your navigation menu, you will notice that your new menu item should be there. If it’s not there, it typically means that you forgot to save your menu edit, so be sure to do that. That’s it! You’ve successfully added an external link to the wordpress menu.
