How to easily transfer or migrate your WordPress website
You can migrate a WordPress site by using a plugin like All-in-One WP Migration or manually. Below you will find our Easy tutorial on how to migrate your WP website.
1. Step 1: **Log in to your WordPress dashboard** on your current (old) hosting account.
2. Go to **Plugins > Add New**.
3. In the search bar, type **All-in-One WP Migration**.
4. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
*Step 2: Export Your Website**
1. In the dashboard menu, click on **All-in-One WP Migration > Export**.
2. Click the **Export To** button and select **File**.
3. The plugin will package your site. Once done, click **Download** to save the export file to your computer.
Step 3: Install WordPress & All-in-One WP Migration on the New Host
1. Set up a fresh WordPress installation on your new hosting account.
2. Log in to the new site’s dashboard.
3. Go to **Plugins > Add New**, search for **All-in-One WP Migration**, then **Install** and **Activate**.
Step 4: Import Your Website to the New Host
1. In the dashboard menu, go to **All-in-One WP Migration > Import**.
2. Click **Import From** and select **File**.
3. Choose the exported file you saved earlier.
4. Wait for the import to finish.
**Note:** If your file is larger than the upload limit, you might need to increase the limit or purchase the Unlimited Extension.
5. When prompted, click **Proceed** to overwrite the site.
Step 5: Finishing Up
1. When the import completes, you’ll get a success message.
2. **Go to Settings > Permalinks** and click **Save Changes** twice to refresh your URLs.
Step 6: Check Your Site
– Open your new site in a browser and make sure everything looks and works as expected.
Please note that, It’s highly advisable to go to your permanlinks and toggle them for a bit. This will ensure that the site links and images will load correctly.
